Badhaai Ho: Is a complete joy

Director: Amit Sharma
Screenplay: Akshat Ghildial
Production company: Chrome Pictures
Music composed by: Tanishk Bagchi, Rochak Kohli, Sunny and Inder Bawa
Actors: Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, Sanya Malhotra, Gajraj Rao

After Andhadhun hit, Badhaai Ho is Ayushmann's second release this month. Produced by Junglee Pictures, Badhaai Ho is woven around his mother's (Neena) unexpected pregnancy which comes as a shocker for his entire family & the socaity around. Ayushmann plays a middle-class bloke, Nakul Kaushik who lives with his parents, grandmother and younger brother in Delhi.

The movie puts a fantastic new spin on the usual. As & when Ayushmann and Sanya’s love story was in the center stage all of the sudden you see the middle-aged parents blush with romance.
The entertainment really becomes novel his uneventful life is rocked when his endearing parents announce their accidental late pregnancy that is played impeccably by Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao.
Overall, Badhai Ho directed by Amit Sharma is a well-written, wholesome, entertaining film, simple and unpretentious, that tackles a serious subject comically, without losing out on entertainment or your attention.

Everything is fair in Love, War & Bollywood!!! “Padmaavat”

Padmaavat Cast: Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Jim Sarbh, Anupriya Goenka, Raza Murad
Padmaavat Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Padmaavat Rating: 3.8/5

Padmaavat movie is going 100% full for all shows past week. Today despite my bad shoulder sprain I decided to reach the theatre an hour before & thankfully I managed a ticket in fully packed theatre. Glad I did…So here it goes.

It is a well-edged drama movie that is beautifully framed; color and costume coordinated along with the extreme elegant dialogues.

Shahid played the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh and leaves the audience with hardly an impact …or even unnoticed. On the other hand, Padukone before the interval is reduced to a singing-dancing queen decked in kilos of gold.

I was always fascinated with Mughal Rulers, their wealth, power & lifestyle. Ranveer Singh played Alauddin Khilji & nailed it. It was said that there was no unavailable thing in the world that is unavailable to Khilji. If he sets his eyes on a woman or a kingdom, they end up in his bed or at his feet.

He justified his character well & for him it’s the role of a lifetime. This is one of the best performances I have in the last few years.

Every frame backs Bhansali's claim that Padmaavat is his tribute to the valour and pride of the Rajputs but I give my full marks to Khilji…He was strong, merciless, powerful & evil.

Ranveer ensured that his character Khijli is both repels and attracts. The climax of the film is a deeply regressive custom Jauhar, from the era that was dealt carefully

Despite a few loopholes in the story, we should give some extra grace for the performances. The movie is surely winning hearts of the audiences and the critics with its strong storyline and power-packed performances.

Padmaavat is a visual delight it’s a typical Bhansali movie that has well balance Bollywood elements & in the end you will definitely take Khilji home with you.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil: A typical Karan Johar Movie!!!

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil explores different layers of friendship, love, music and heartbreak. Like any typical Johar movie shows how Love thrills,  inspires, heals,  hurts & is always dramatic.

This time Johar’s characters are not only well heeled, styled in designer clothes, walking in and out of fancy pubs but are also far more mature. They do fall in love, but invest their time and money to find a meaningful relationship. They do party, but also work.

Aryan  (Ranbir Kapoor) and Alizeh (Anushka Sharma) first meet on a dance floor in London and instantly hitoff. Their friendship conveys a feel-good vibe. Aryan realizes he’s in love for also when he travels to India to attend her wedding. The movie beautifully folds up after the interval.

Asihwarya Rai, Fawad Khan, Sharukh Khan, Alia Bhatt &  Lisa Haydon  had a small but impactful role in the film.

With  good  ensemble and grooving dance numbers, there are all possibilities that ADHM could do well at the box office. “pyaar dosti hai” and “pyaar mein junoon hai, dosti mein sukoon hai,” like sassy dialogues grows on you.

Anushka & Aishwarya are the cause of much wardrobe envy. Anushka is seen in a bohemian avatar. She is seen wearing A - line kurtas and silver jewelry that she complimented with leather jackets.

While Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Saba, played  a poet in the movie. She looked classy & sophisticated in sexy outerwear teamed with artisanal scarves & sleek jewelry.

The Movie depicts unhappiness wears a shade of glamour along with a new-age romance on screen.
ADHM is not only Splendidly romantic, but richly satisfying. It gives me goosebumps, teary eyes and is one of the  romantic movie that I truly cherished!!!
